My experience with GameFlip was far from satisfactory, and I cannot recommend it to fellow gamers.

One of the most concerning aspects of Gameflip is that they demand users to provide photos of themselves holding their credit or debit cards. While security measures are sometimes needed, this level of verification feels excessive and invasive. What's worse is that no other reputable gaming marketplace I've come across requires such intrusive proof. This demand raises serious privacy concerns and undermines the trustworthiness of the platform.

In addition to the invasive verification process, Gameflip's website design is far from impressive. It exudes an outdated and unprofessional vibe that immediately raises suspicions. The overall appearance of the site is lackluster, and it does little to inspire confidence in its legitimacy. It's essential for an online marketplace to invest in a clean and user-friendly interface, but unfortunately, Gameflip falls short in this regard.

Navigating the Gameflip website is a frustrating experience. The layout is cluttered and confusing, making it difficult to find the necessary information or locate specific listings. The search feature is unreliable, often yielding irrelevant results or outdated listings. This lack of efficiency and user-friendliness significantly diminishes the overall user experience.

Another significant letdown is the customer support provided by Gameflip. When I reached out to address my concerns about the intrusive verification process, I received a generic and unhelpful response which they took 2 days to respond regarding a refund which took another 14 days! The support team failed to address my specific questions and left me feeling unheard and undervalued as a customer. It's evident that customer satisfaction is not a priority for Gameflip.

In conclusion, my experience with Gameflip was characterized by disappointment and frustration. The demand for intrusive card verification, combined with the unprofessional website design and subpar user experience, undermines the platform's credibility. Additionally, the lackluster customer support only adds to the negative impression. I strongly advise gamers to seek alternative, more reliable and user-friendly marketplaces for their gaming needs.

I haven't had any real major issues with buying game codes from sellers other than the site and rules itself.

My only issue is with the payment system that declines paymeny that have money in the account just because it's a Visa and triggering Identity check. I get why they would ask to prevent fraud.

Wasn't happy when they asked for front & back of card and me posing a selfie to be sent which was declined with no explanation 🤔 Everything you asked for was present and only difference was my bank prints the numbers on the back of the card now so I'm guessing they didn't like that as most cards have the numbers on the front but it's a valid UK Visa Debit Card that was used to make many previous transactions on Gameflip.

I messaged twice asking why a card I had used before is now being declined for no reason.

Bank said they haven't put a block on this website and the Gameflip agents keep saying speak to my bank. One cheeky f""" even said are you sure you have money in your account...what an a""hole! I'd only spent £300 in 1 month and your asking me if I have money to spend 😆 comedian

Ordered a Walmart gift card from Gameflip. It loaded into my account just fine, but didn't think to check the history of the card. I go to use it online that, redeem it, and immediately get a cancelation notice saying that my order was cancelled for return violations. The gift card could not be used, because looking through the history, a bunch of purchases and returns were on said card. Now my Walmart account is flagged, and I can't use other gift cards I have purchased. I have messaged Gameflip and received 1 response about an investigation and then nothing else. This site is fine with game keys, but I have my doubts on that now

I had mostly used the site for steam keys, and one steam gift card, and that worked really well. So I thought I would try to get a gift card from a major retailer, Walmart. So I get the card, load it to my account, no problem. I try to use it online to buy a TV, and then place my order. I immediately get a cancellation notice right after it completes, for return violations. After checking the e-mail history I e-mail Walmart, no help, and then I e-mail Gameflip, even less help. I had e-mailed gameflip the day I found out that the card didn't work, which was the day after I had purchased. Their reply had stated that they had already sent payment and would be investigating. No reply since. What kind of guarantee do they have that does nothing to protect buyers? I would not buy gift cards here, and I probably won't even use the site again because I can't afford to have my Steam account deactivated for a fraudulent purchase like I can with Walmart

I’ve had mostly a good experience on Gameflip except for 1 time that I was selling items to a buyer and delivered half and they said they’d pick up later. I tried contacting them multiple times no reply then I tried to contact Gameflip. Then transaction was canceled because I didn’t want to mark as “Delivered” and look like a scammer. They then said “It’s my fault for not marking it” even though I explained everything and tried to reach out for help and had video of me delivering and the buyers saying they got half. I continued to state that it wasn’t done being delivered and also stated that no where on their website does it say what to do on their website if something isn’t done being delivered. I eventually got my money and got the person banned from Gameflip but still shouldn’t have had to argue it when I had multiple forms of proof. Date is a guess of when it happened. This isn’t common and had a mostly satisfied with gameflip. Please fix this problem so it doesn’t happen to others. Please and thank you

I was buying a game the game need a VPN I didn't have one the seller allows me to use there's but did not work as I was frustrated I told seller. I am frustrated and can't do this anymore keep the money. He kept my money and banned me from purchasing. If this is allowed here at this site owners are garbage.

Trying to get something in the game they take almost a week just to add funds. A week come on man things go in and out of sale by then. Wanna use a service that makes you wait forever to add ur first funds and not get what you want this the service. No help on weekends so they really don’t value your money or time. Only use this service if u got a week to wait for them to process your info and to process your money. They took the money out my account fast of course only took them 2 mins but the review takes a week make it make sense please.

Gameflip in staright forward isn't a bad site, they are just holding a spot in sales. The thing is a big majority of the in-game items are stolen or duped items. In which case your purchase through this website is more in-secure then you realize. What will Gameflip do if you spend say 500 buxs on in game items to only wake up and find the items were all through fraud and theft? Nothing, Gameflip will do nothing, because you did receive the item. What do they do to these sellers? Put them on thier A list sellers club. So in the end, safe and fair this website is not. Real truth and it's upto you to figure out is saving a couple Dollars worth losing all the items, sum of the items, even a portion due to the fact that GAMEFLIP DOESNT CARE AS LONG AS THEY GET THEIR CUT? Just another day in Entrepreneur world. At your cost, at your choice, and buy anything in-game at your own risk. I for one will not be taking a couple dollars saving rish at losing not even $1 more less hundreds.

Not recommended you have high risk scam in this platform, gift cards amazon, walmart, targer, etc...

Been trading on here for a year, Eventually tried to add $10/£8 to get something for my game that i needed, They tried to take £800 and when i emailed them all they had to say was "We advise you not to deposit" No apology or nothing, SCUM

wowzers, £170 on hold because you need ID? what the hell is that about, im buying a giftcard, not a gun. happily asked these creeps to delete my account, and now to wait a week for my money back and if not i shall charge back and report them to my cc company

I have to submit my "ID" to buy a $51 game item what a load of bullocks, mind that they already charged me. Rather go on eBay next time, I won't submit my ID.

I made an account to purchase a gift card. Only after I paid was I notified that I would not be able to get the redemption code for the gift card I paid for until I verified my identity, No biggie, I just need to verify my email address and phone number, right? WRONG! In order to get what I paid for, I have to send them a photo of my ID, a photo of me holding my photo ID, and a copy of my phone bill. They're asking for more than adult content sites require from creators, which is unreasonable enough on it's own, but the fact that these requirements aren't communicated until after you've paid for a product is unacceptable.

Absolutely pathetic service, can't buy anything because you want more ID from me.. and that is not going to happen.. that's how identity fraud starts.. I asked for one of my accounts to be deleted, and you deleted my main account was deleted.. complete waste of time..

Very poor experience. ID and phone number is required for selling few dollars gift card. Account deletion is not easy. Phone numbers stay on their database forever and ever despite account deletion.
